Roger was a common snail that died in a common snail death (squished by a truck) who went to the snail heaven as all proper snails do. And as all proper snails who arrive in snail heaven do, he got his fairy wings. Unfortunately, due to a disturbance in the force caused by a comet approaching the Earth, Roger found that his complimentary fairy wings had been attached backwards. And thus began Roger's great quest back to the mortal realm to find a way to attach his wings correctly, learn to fly and ultimately save the Earth before everyone else dies in a squishy death.
Corel Painter 9, Wacom Intuos 3 and I think I just spent 3 hours on the most ridiculous snail drawing ever. On the bright side, if I'm ever writing a children's book, it'll be about Roger and the ninja pear.
This is awesome! XD The story's amusing, and the wings are gorgeous.

Wow really? Can I read the story when you're done? I think I'd have a good laugh
I'd probably be the first one to buy a copy if you ever publish it too, I have two little sisters who'd love that story
Heehee that's sounding more serious than I'm likely to go with it, but in summer when I have plenty time in my hands (or sooner if I get impatient) I might as well come up with something of decent length about Roger. ^^ I'm not exactly a writer's material, but when the bug bites, who knows. But yeah if I do write something decent, I'm definitely making it readable here or elsewhere in some way.
How adorable! I LOVE the wings . . . stunning. And . . . are those tiny winged things being born from his trail? They're beautiful, whatever they are! ^___^
