I started this last year around Halloween, but lost time/motivation/inspiration/etc. to finish it, so now I finally got back to it and here it is.
I'm not Entirely sure what I was thinking here, possibly something like a very reversed gryphon... But that's okay 'cause owls are awesome like that.
Corel Painter 9, Wacom Intuos 3, a couple hours here and there.

For some reason it reminds me of the Cheshire cat from the new Alice in Wonderland, probably the face. I love how you have the spot of light that really attract the eye and grabs your attention, with such a dark background. It adds a wonderful touch to it, and don't even get me started on the texture and all those tiny teeth
