She walks among the dirt of world,
Dark skies lit by the moon.
But from her steps a stream of gold
Across the void is strewn.

She flies just like a dove
On wings so bright, glow undistraught -

This drawing was a birthday present for my mom, and as such holds a special meaning to me. It might not be as detailed as my usual pictures, but I wanted to try a looser, more painterly approach, concentrating detail around the angel's face (which looks better at full size, I swear!). Also it was encouraged by a nasty computer crash which left way too little time for detail.

Used a whole bunch of references for the figure, but typically enough lost them.
