A quick little tutorial - in a ginormous file - of how I draw hair. Included are four basic hair types, as I couldn't think of anything else that wasn't a mix or a derivative of these four. Thanks to =OchreJelly for suggesting Spiky. ^^
The general idea here is that hair can be painted without painting actual hairs, and instead focusing on the overall structure/shape and individual strands/locks/spikes rather than hairs. It's not intended to be the One Way to paint hair or anything like that, but it's my favorite approach, so maybe someone else will find it useful, too. If anything, it's just faster than trying to get every single hair just right.
Did u go from easy to harder...? And is Corel better than Photoshop?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'easy to harder'. Painter is different than Photoshop in that Photoshop has more versatility, but Painter has more specialisation towards digital painting. I prefer Painter because of it's interface and blending tools. Which one of them is better depends entirely on what you intend to be using them for.
Wow! Very useful! It's my 1º time using your technique... My version isn't so perfect like yours, but I'm trying! I have great difficulty in drawing it! Thx for sharing!
